A digital learning package to create awareness to farm safety – Velcourt

THE CHALLENGE

Valcourt are a farming management company.  One of the Yorkshire based farm managers approached SS Safety with a request of creating a digital learning package to create awareness to farm safety.

THE SOLUTION

SS Safety have been creating company specific digital learning solutions since 2019.  These training packages are supported by a learning management system (LMS) which tracks learner progress and results.  This can be used to identify where help and support is needed or to simply verify and log course outcomes for an individual learner or group.

After consultation with the client and persona study, understanding of the target learning group was achieved.  This allowed a design concept of the course model to be presented and agreed with consideration of the business needs, learning gap, learning media and style.

The course modules were then developed, Velcourt management were the first to test out the course and after some final amendments the course was launched.

SUCCESSES

  • The course has been a huge success, authorization and creation of additional projects focused on specific machinery, process and procedure have now been developed to create a “Core and Spoke” learning model.

  • All employees complete the mandatory core learning and then select specific (spoke) courses as required for their role.
